General Duties and Guide Lines
Volunteers have to meet guide lines to joining the JrGAP, and go through an extensive screening process. Guidelines include minimum age, gender, access to location, golf level, social, team and interpersonal skills, education level, etc;. Description of duties will be explained in detail, depending on level and post volunteer is applying for. There are two types of Volunteer I or II; A type I volunteer has no contact with Juniors and the screening and background check is minimal. A volunteer type II works directly with Junior and parents, their screening process has a background check consisting of criminal search with local police and offensive search in courts, national criminal/sex offenders through Priority Search Service. It does a background screening and verification in all the states or countries. We follow an actuation check list for proper placement in the organization. The solicitation of volunteers is done by the Recruiting Coordinator, who will be responsible for carefully assessing the character of the individual and the needs of the organization. He does the following:

  • Establish and manage the Intake and Referral Station
  • Conduct a brief interview with each prospective volunteer
  • Refer volunteer to an appropriate opportunity
  • Confirm that volunteer has filled out all the required paperwork
  • Register volunteers who are placed with the jurisdiction
Volunteer type I has no contact with Juniors and the screening and background check is minimal.
