USGTF:
The non certified professionals
are certified through the United States Golfers Teachers Federation based in Port Saint Lucie. The United States Golf Teachers Federation® trains and certifies golf teaching professionals. It is the largest organization of strictly
golf teaching professionals in the world with over 17,000 members. Founded in 1989, the USGTF is one of 35 member nations
that make up the World Golf Teachers Federation®. Each member nation adheres to a set of Federation bylaws set forth to enact a world standard
of uniformity and professionalism in the training of teaching professionals. To become certified it is not necessary to have
any prior experience in the golf teaching industry, except of course the ability to play golf at a level of acceptability. The United Stated Golf Teachers Federation (USGTF) has also had an enormous impact on the golf teaching
industry since it’s inception in 1989. The USGTF establishes a national and international standard in the training and
certification of golf teaching professionals. They are the largest organization of strictly golf teaching professionals in
the world. In addition, they continue not only to help promote the game, but also add to it’s growth and popularity.
The United States Golf Teachers Federation offers two options to obtain Level I membership status. You may attend the
2-day introductory course in person, which is recommended due to the fact that teaching golf is a people/personality industry
or you may elect to achieve the Level I status online through our Home Study Course.
Today, the USGTF is the largest organization of strictly golf teaching professionals in the world with over 18,000
members. The USGTF is a founding member of the World Golf Teachers Federation® and is one of 35 member nations that make
up this entity. Both Federations help to establish the world's standard for golf teaching professionals.
The USGTF educational theme is that of progressive learning. We incorporate four levels
of certification for the golf teaching professional. You may select any level of certification that is necessary for your
needs. It is not required to attend Level I or Level II prior to attending the Level III full certification. This approach
